Dancing On The Ceiling

Lionel Richie All Night Long Tour

Saturday 28th February

Manchester Arena

Last night myself and my mum were two very lucky ladies. We had the privilege of watching the master that is Lionel Richie in concert.

After booking the tickets some 6 months ago for the All Night Long World Tour, the night couldn't come quick enough and we were both eager to get out and have a good boogie and boy did we do that. I burnt some calories let me tell you.

I have been lucky over the years when it comes to concerts, I have seen some of the best artist in the business but there is something so special about Lionel that I had to book to see him again.
If you haven't been to a concert or missed out on getting tickets, I thought I would post a few pictures of my night for you to enjoy.

Apologies for the quality of the video - this was taken on my phone and looks much better viewed on there than on a computer - sowwwy!

Lionel attracts a mixture of ages which I think is great when it comes to a concert. From start to finish the arena was buzzing, he made sure that every age group was catered for. Sign of a true professional.

He really did have the crowd in his back pocket from the first note to the last chorus of “We Are The World” some two hours later.
Those calories I mentioned earlier were burning hard by the end and they needed to especially after I was rather naughty and treated myself a foot long hotdog AND candle floss *woops*

Speaking about bringing his tour to Europe Lionel said: I can’t wait to get back to the UK. The audiences are always so great and I always have an incredible time when I’m in the United Kingdom. The show feels like a great big sing-along most nights so I’m looking forward to singing along with the people of the UK again!”

It was more than just music concert, there was a lot of laughter to be had, Lionel is one very funny man.

If you haven't had the opportunity to see him live and you ever get the chance to, please do, he really is so superb and myself and my mum had such a fun night.

Here's to many more years of dancing on the ceiling.

Long Live Lionel
